COMMUNITY BENEFIT FUND

The Turncole Wind Farm Community Benefit Fund provides at least £35,000 per year for investment in local social, environmental and educational projects that will benefit people living and working near the wind farm. The first payment of the Fund was made in spring 2017.

The fund is managed by the Essex Community Foundation and decisions about where the money is spent are made by a Fund Panel of local people.

Together with the Local Electricity Discount Scheme, the Community Fund brings the total community benefits package at Turncole Wind Farm to at least £87,500 per year, index linked.
