Pedestrian crossing

During pre-construction consultation, it became clear that the local community had been concerned for some time about the safety of people crossing Church Road near Ormiston Rivers Academy in Burnham-on-Crouch.

RES explored these concerns with Essex County Council and agreed to donate up to £45,000 towards the cost of delivering a pedestrian crossing, as an additional benefit to the community.

In March 2017 RES and Essex County Council formally agreed to the works. The crossing has since been installed and is now in operation.
